The free trial has been such an integral part of Netflix’s marketing and success over the last 5 years so it’s no wonder people are signing up expecting to stream for the first month free. There’s no mention of a free trial on the website but the current call-to-action reads “Try it now” which feels a little misleading now. The free trial purge was first noted by UK financial website MoneySavingExpert back in December 2019 but now it seems more and more countries are getting their free trials nixed. You can check if your country still has a free trial offer available over on Netflix’s website but a cursory glance shows that New Zealand, India, Canada and Japan no longer stream for free, whereas China and the United States are still eligible.
